Features
The Coleman Fyrestorm features a built-in windshield as well as a sunken burner. These eliminate the unsatisfactory performance that most gas stoves have in the wind. Weighing a total of 128g, the pan supports are wide at 16cm, and the stove packs down to only 10x7cm. As a screw-on burner that is direct, this gas stove is an excellent choice even though you don’t get the low profile of a remote burner or an inverted canister. 4/5
Design
The burner is 3.5cm in diameter. It has a sunken 1.8cm middle area. The wind block system has three perforated metal shields. These vertically surround the burner. Serrated, the pan supports angle a bit toward the burner. This allows for a more adequate grip on pans. They also fold like an umbrella, and this creates a nice compact. 5/5
Ease of Use
Just like an umbrella, you just rotate the red collar to lift the pan, with the burner screwed directly to the gas canister. Although you’re going to need a match or some sort of firestarter, since there’s no piezo ignition, when everything is up and running, the flame control is a breeze to use. You’ve got pan supports that are a bit wobbly, but they are wide and well-designed. That’s probably due to the umbrella-like folding mechanism. 4/5

On the Hill
You’ll find that the Coleman Fyrestorm is perfect for a broad range of pans. As far as performance in the wind, the performance is superior compared to other burners. It has boil times of three minutes per litre when the weather is good and approximately six minutes when its windy. Yes, lower-profile remote burners are more stable. However, as a direct screw-on, this model is good despite not being the lightest option. 4/5
Value
What you’re paying for is wider supports and improved wind performance. Therefore the price is good but not great. 3/5
Verdict
As a gas burner that is a direct-screw on, it has pan supports, and they perform well in the wind compared to other burners. Conclusion? The Coleman Fyrestorm is a good burner. 4.0/5
